Owning pets in Singapore can be a bit taxing, as pets are not allowed in a lot of public places, but we do know some interesting places that not only allow your pet but welcome you and your furkid with open arms. So, you don’t have to take your pets just to the beach or to the dog parks: you can take your furry friend to an eatery beside a swimming pool where both of you can have fun and chill out.

Canopy Garden Dining Bar

As the name implies, the Canopy Garden Dining Bar is located in a veritable garden. At one with nature, this restaurant provides both outdoor and indoor seating for patrons, and pets are allowed, but only the outdoors, so the best option for you would be to sit outside with your pet and enjoy all of the nature’s beauty, with great Western cuisine to complement it. The Canopy is actually a stone’s throw away from Cornerstone, and you may need to have some insect repellant with you because all that lush greenery could still harbour some pesky little insects.

There are several other spots in Singapore that are pet-friendly. Most of these places require that your pets stay outside, while some provide a space dedicated to entertaining your pets and making sure they have water to drink. Other places require that your pets stay on a leash, while others allow your pets to stay indoors or outdoors, that is, wherever you are seated. These pet-friendly places make it easier for you to have a great time out with friends and family (your furkids are family too!) Just be conscious as a responsible pet owner, by leading them away from the restaurant when their nature calls and clean up after them. Nobody loves a waft of fresh poop smell with their freshly cooked food!
